New geoENVia President

Maria João Pereira, from Instituto Superior Tecnico in Lisbon (Portugal) has been elected as the new President of geoENVia. Philippe Renard was re-elected as the Secretary of the association.

The election took place in Parma during the biennial geoENVia assembly. Maria João was elected by the unanimous vote of all people present and in her first intervention, she compromised to continue the mission of the association of promoting the application of geostatistics in environmental applications.

At the end of the geoENVia assembly, before a projected picture of the Technical University of Crete campus in Chania, where the next geoENV conference will take place.
